Be Holy As He is Holy

Greetings all,

Yesterday in reading 1 Peter...this verse stuck out at me....
But as the One Who called you is holy, you yourselves also be holy in all your conduct and manner of living.
1 Peter 1:15 AMPC

But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy.
1 Peter 1:15 NLT

On the contrary, following the Holy One who called you, become holy yourselves in your entire way of life;

And here are my thoughts.....
Put this verse with .....
resist the devil and he will flee from you (James 4:7)
You have not resisted to the point of shedding blood (Hebrews 12:4)
Humble yourself under the mighty hand of God (1 Peter 5:6)
When we obey Jesus commands He will manifest Himself to us (Jn 14:21)

By his divine power, God has given us everything we need for living a godly life. We have received all of this by coming to know him, the one who called us to himself by means of his marvelous glory and excellence. And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. In view of all this, make every effort to respond to God’s promises. Supplement your faith with a generous provision of moral excellence, and moral excellence with knowledge, and knowledge with self-control, and self-control with patient endurance, and patient endurance with godliness, and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love for everyone. The more you grow like this, the more productive and useful you will be in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But those who fail to develop in this way are shortsighted or blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their old sins. So, dear brothers and sisters, work hard to prove that you really are among those God has called and chosen. Do these things, and you will never fall away. Then God will give you a grand entrance into the eternal Kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
2 Peter 1:3‭-‬11 NLT

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things! Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives.
Galatians 5:22‭-‬25 NLT

Therefore, my dear ones, as you have always obeyed [my suggestions], so now, not only [with the enthusiasm you would show] in my presence but much more because I am absent, work out (cultivate, carry out to the goal, and fully complete) your own salvation with reverence and awe and trembling (self-distrust, with serious caution, tenderness of conscience, watchfulness against temptation, timidly shrinking from whatever might offend God and discredit the name of Christ). [Not in your own strength] for it is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.

Thank you for the encouragement my sister, especially for the reminder of the scripture;

"When we obey Jesus commands He will manifest Himself to us". (Jn 14:21).

Blessings!

The Funny thing about being Holy is that it is simply a Life Style that We Must desire enough to make the choice to do so.

It's loving God and His ways enough to desire to be like Him, Act like Him and think like Him.

The more you become in Love with God and His ways the more you crave to be Holy just like He is Holy.
Soo Aquire Thee Desire to be Holy.
Blessings
