NEWS & NOTES

As before, our emphasis in November was publishing new materials for the book of 2 Samuel. We've now uploaded materials for the first 11 chapters with more to come. As usual, you can see the latest updates on our "what's new" page. Also added this month are Spanish-translated versions of our commentary on 1 and 2 Peter.

Last month, we noted our connection to the Got Questions network of ministries. In addition to the Bible commentary here at BibleRef.com, we focus on general questions at Got Questions, teens at 412Teens.org, children at GQKidz.org, and discipleship at Compelling Truth. We offer SeekFind to those looking for a curated search engine. We also publish to our YouTube channelas well as social media. All our resources are free and meant to benefit as many people as possible; please take advantage of them!

Despite the ongoing effects of AI summaries on direct visitors, our gospel presentation page still sees healthy traffic. Based on current trends, we're anticipating to have seen about 8,500 people accept Christ through our ministry's efforts in 2025. Prayers, support, and sharing by you and others has been instrumental in these successes!

Hello Mabel;

I know you do. 😎
lol!

Regarding AI, it came upon me so fast. I know I can do quickie questions with AI but for more conversation with substance I prefer reading posts from the member's original writing, or having face to face "live" testimony over a cup of coffee.

Just me,

Carefully charting our paths forward… use the tool wisely until we are cut off.

I was shown the treachery step-by-revealed-step pre- the infamous March 2020, “news” conference.

Never so offput in my life.
Sadden to the very depth of my soul.

Evil? Yeah sure I thought knew about evil but our own government???

No more flag waving.
Uh uh nope not I.

AI is a tool, and like all tools you must know when (and not) to use it. I find it invaluable as a starting point for research or for tossing ideas back and forth.

The danger comes from trusting AI too much. Just because it sounds confident does not mean it knows anything. It's just a very well implemented Chinese Room. That said, there's no need to fear it simply because it exists.
