Bringing our greatest fears upon us

Bringing our greatest fears upon us is one of the greatest threats God makes....
Deuteronomy 28:15-68
Job 3:25,
Proverbs 10:24
Jeremiah 42:16-17
Ezekiel 5-7
Isaiah 9:8-10:4

One of God's greatest threats against us... One of his greatest weapons in his quest to turn us and to make us pay attention to turn us back to Him is our greatest fears.....

and look at how we are ignoring this today.....

Conservative Christians - by and large, our "Greatest fear" is Government over-reach... Government intrusion into our lives... The Government persecuting us or coming against us..... This is one thing that occupies the minds of Conservative Christians.... It worries us...

NOW, compare this against our Black evangelical Christian brothers... - By and large, THEIR greatest fear is not the Government - but rather open, public VIOLENCE and Hatred against them that they have no defense against.... That people would come up against them in anger and pour out violence upon them.....

Now look - in TWO weeks, what has happened.....

The "Official Blessing of the Courts" on Continued Government Overreach... Gay Marriage AND Obamacare both in the same week..... OUR fear brought against us.... AND - Extreme, random violence against a Black church - their greatest fear....

Notice how there is STILL NO REPENTANCE out of the Church..... NONE... No crying out to God confessing our sins to HIM.... No turning from our own wicked ways... Nothing.

Nope, instead, we pull together and rally to blame everybody else and stand tall that it's not our fault or our problem...

Brothers and sisters, it's time to get on our knees.... Wake up! Pray! Confess our foolishness before God... Confess that we are neither recognizing, nor learning from errors, rebuke, and chastisement... That we are calling Wicked good and Good wicked - as a CHURCH....

"For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still."

Man, you really make some great points. I'm going to email my church pastor and ask him to do this.

In my opinion, it is wrong to assume that none of the Church has repented or needs to repent. Many of the Body of Christ have a great relationship with God.

Maybe the majority of the Body of Christ needs to stop being in fear and begin to stand upon God's promises to protect us at all times especially when we are doing what He desires for us to do.

In the case of the black evangelical church that was attacked by the devil....that was not of God. HE did not send that to punish them for some reason. It was simply an attack. And as i have heard...more black and white people are gathering together to worship and pray supporting each other.

Think.. There was a uniqueness to both of these events...

At most to your average secular folk - the Supreme court ruling is simply challenging an old tradition they may or may not care about.... Among Secular people - the support is pretty much straight down Liberal/conservative lines... If you are big on keeping tradition - you oppose it... If you are big on bucking tradition - you are for it...

To your average secular folk - the church shooting may as well have been in a shopping mall or school... Yes - it's a bad thing, but no different had the shooter been in any other crowded public place.....

But to The Church - there's a HUGE difference on both counts....
Marriage stands unique as the first institution God founded - it pre-exists Government as something God defined... This ruling stands as a clear declaration that The Government has a right to re-define the Things of God apriori and at will.... This ruling also basically allows Christians to be targeted because they don't like gay marriage.... Clear evidence that God allowed his protective hedge down.....

To the church... The shooting was not in some crowded place... it was IN a church DURING a bible study... The people killed were BELIEVERS and they were ACTIVELY studying God's word.... The fact that this shooting was IN church AGAINST believers is EVIDENCE that God allowed His protective hedge down....

TWO very prominent, public instances of God allowing His protective hedge down in ways that uniquely affect The Church so close together should catch our attention.....

They did catch our attention - but not that way...

I really do not agree with your deduction that God allowed this to happen. The sins of the people, because they stopped making God's Word first place in our lives and our government. And in the case of the black church being attacked.....a better question would have been why could God not protect them? Did they know that they can stand upon ps 91 for God to protect them where ever they are? Another thing is that the devil is trying so very hard to get a spirit of division to become very prevalent in the Body of Christ. The enemy does not like the fact that a spirit of unity has been released upon the Body Of Christ. He does not like the fact that the different ethnic groups are getting along. So if he can get some person who has been listening to segregated messages...to go and accept people's kindness to invite him in, to steal, kill or destroy...then he will. Its calle wolves among the brethren.
