GlowofHisglory, Jane, Godbeforme, and Autumn......thanks to all of you for the warm encouraging messages. When I read this forum, then go to work, I sing, I feel happy inside. I feel like I am in the right place.
I will try to do an avatar now (fingers crossed). The pink bag of hearts is so beautiful and all the graphics are so beautiful. I am going to learn how to put names on them one of these days
Yes, real birds. They're rainbow lorikeets. Around forty to fifty come each morning at 7 and 4 in the afternoon for a free feed of brown sugar diluted in water, and sunflower seeds. My wife spends a fortune on them!
Oh George, you are so very lucky to have birds like that around you. I just can't even imagine anything so beautiful flying around. We have blue jays and robins, red winged black birds, but nothing that beautiful. Thanks for telling me about them.
There is something in the Bible about birds, I can't remember what it is, but it is about the sparrow.
29) Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father. 30) And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. 31) So don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
Psalm 84/3-4 (Living Bible):
3) Even the sparrow has found a home,
and the swallow a nest for herself,
where she may have her young--
a place near your altar,
O LORD Almighty, my King and my God. 4) Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you. Selah
Proverbs 26/2: (Living Bible)
2) Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.
