Hello you, some helpful scriptures for seeing how we are changed if you place your faith and love with God, with all your heart, all your mind, all your soul, and then you will love others as yourself. You can be changed by the spirit of God/Holy Spirit/ Spirit of Christ/ and new spiritual body. You can build you spiritual body if you choose to do so by feeding on Word of God, the bread of life (Jesus Christ). the living water (Jesus Christ).
We will never be perfect like the Lord Jesus Christ. You can be mature in the spirit, being a son or daughter of God.
Romans 8:14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
Though we will never be perfect like Jesus Christ was, but you can be mature in your faith by walking in the spirit though sometimes you may fail in some areas other than others!
Just remember you are forgiven, and you do have a God who desires to listen and care for you, through prayer.
