Did Jesus or the Father create everything?

Colossians 12-17 KJV
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: [13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: [14] In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: [15] Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: [16] For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [17] And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

I had to put all of that so you would get the context.

Hebrews 1:1-2 KJV
God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, [2] Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;

The first passage states that Jesus created all, and the second states that the Father did. Which of the two is it?

Lookagain at the Hebrews account Juk......
"Hath in these days spoken to us by His SON, WHOM HE hath appointed heir of all things, BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS".

The verse actually says that JESUS is the ONE who created the world when it says .....
"BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS" which confirms the passage in Colossians 1 instead on contradicting it.

They are compatible verses which confirm eacg other my brother.

Actually the phrase "By whom also He made the worlds" is NOT referrencing the creation at all of Genesis 1:1. The word "WORLDS" here means "AGES", and it goes beyound His being the Creator.

It lends purpose to everything. He, Jesus is the heir who gives the program for the future. He, Jesus made the AGES giving purpose for all things. In other words, He not only created everyting, He did it for a purpose.

You see, the Bible makes sense and therfore God had a reason for all the things He did.

A little math please :D

A = B = C which means A = C

Bible Math:

A: Father = God
B: Jesus = Creator
C: Jesus = God
D: Father = Jesus (Deu 6:4; John 10:30)
E: Father = Creator

A = B = C = D = E

Is it too late to put the lid back on that can of worms? :p

How many Gods are there? One.

Three Manifestations of One

Definition: manifestation: fact of showing an abstract idea

Would not everything from God be God? His Name too? In fact that's what is promised to Solomon, 1 Kings 9:3, and when the Name of the Lord came to the Temple, 2 Sam 7:13, 2 Kings 21:4, 1 Kings 8:29, it was so filled with His Name (yes His Name) that the priests could not minister, 2 Chron 5:11-14!

Name of God = God!

After all the Word of God is God! John 1:1-4

Word of God = God

God spoke... what do you speak with? The Word! :D

Maybe Larry Norman was right after all........(Song: "Unidentified Flying Object")

Maybe He IS an alien being, who will come back and get us with a space ship as visualized by Ezekiel?! (lol)
