Hi all! So I've had two dreams for the past few months. I can't understand them at all to save my life. If anyone has a prophetic gifting from God, would you mind helping me out with the interpretation? I would really appreciate any insight. Sometimes, I'm able to interpret dreams. Other times, I'm not able to at all.
First, I'd like to know how exactly one could interpret a modern dream? Like a dream involving technology, such as ipads and high heels, since it's not specifically listed in the bible? (Yes, my dreams name both of those items). I would really like some more insight on hearing from God on prophetic dreams and visions.
Second, how do you know if a dream is from God? Can Satan put dreams in our minds as well?
Third, do you, if you are able to interpret was these mean, helping me understand them? If you have time to read them and pray about it. The first one is short. The second one is longer.
1. This dream I felt like I interpreted correctly for the most part at first, but since I do not have peace about my interpretation, I think it's wrong. In the dream, I am in a neighborhood but it is gray and the streets are dark. I was looking for a better way to earn money. I come across a woman's home and enter; she's in a competition of style. She obtains all of these clothes and competes by shopping online for clothes with the least prices. I responded favorably and asked her if I could see what she has. She doesn't show me all of her clothes apparently (because she says it's a competition), but gives me an idea of what I'd be doing. It was a Caucasian girl with black hair. She seemed nice. I left and was super excited about the opportunity and told people about it.I got my clothes together and in the last scene, saw myself with 3 pairs of high heels. (personally, I think this dream symbolizes something unfavorable but what's the hurt in posting it.
2. Part 1. This one started off with me trying to protect someone or something (not sure exactly what). There were a lot of tall buildings and high places, kinda orangish brownish scene going on. My mom wasn't found of my protectiveness and started running after me, trying to catch me (along with other people, but mainly her). She'd chase me through windows, up the stairs, you get it. I'd wait until she found out where I was before I started to escape (don't understand why). I'd open up windows and break the glass and screen and whatever else was there. Whenever she came into the room, I'd jump out and shed miss me. If she was in another room, I'd fly up and she'd try to catch me. She wouldn't. I barely escaped each time. Apparently, however, the dream revealed that if I was touched, it signified a death. Like I'd be so close to letting out a deep soul cry.
Part 2. The scene then cut to a store. I somehow almost ran into a store naked?? (I tried looking up the symbolism for nakedness; not sure which way it would go). Apparently it was super hot to me. My brothers thought it was hot too and did the same but my parents undressed only a little bit. People specifically saw me because I ran towards the store (3 people saw; an older woman and a father and his son). Before anymore attention came, I put most clothes on before walking into the store with my family (store was Walmart btws). Walked into the store and waited in line, but we didn't have anything to check out while standing in line. In line, we noticed people from church. They were in line too and in the middle of a line, had like a get together. They had brownies, sweets, and just a lot of good food. There were tables and chairs there too. One table had 3-4 women sitting at it all on ipads or iphones/digital devices. My family started conversing with them and eating. One lady sitting at the table had an ipad. i found out she too went to the church by looking at her screen on the ipad and it said where she was from. Upset that I looked at her iPad while she was on it (I looked over her shoulder), I explained that I was from the church too and I was noticed that she was too after looking at her ipad. She was really understanding and friendly afterwards. Then the dream ended.
I have absolutely no idea what to do. I asked people from church to help me with intepretation but that did not work very well, as the people I asked did not know how. The person they all recommended, I couldn't get into contact with him. I will probably try finding him in church later, but for now, do you all mind helping me out? Thank you!!!
