Does God Punish People For Some Bad Things?

No. I was talking literally.

I suppose it depends on how the word punishment is used. For instance, a loving parent punishes his kids because he loves them and wants them to learn as well as correcting what went wrong.

If we want to call what God did to Paul by knocking him off his horse literally a punishment, then God does do this. But that might be stretching it, and maybe my definition is still flawed. Though I don't think I yet have reason to believe he doesn't.

But I don't think that should mean every time we trip and fall it is God punishing us. I'm a very clumsy person, and while I suspect God has humbled me many times, I'm not inclined to think my clumsiness is God doing it to punish me...especially since I tend to get a strange joy from my clumsiness. My friends and family have laughed about it and I laugh with them in the best way possible.
