Does God Speak Today to His People?

I think some people bargain with God but it's really not the best way to have a good relationship with Him.
He's God so he knows our weaknesses and everything about us already..including where we are doubting His word.

MM.........You know me and I will say to all that the story is nonesense.

There are people who live for that kind of story as if it somehow verifies their faith.

God does not work that way. .....IMO. What if that woman stood on her head, fell over and broke her leg. Would we then be saying that God told her to do such a thing???

God speaks to us today through His written Word!!!!! Not visions, or someone on the radio or a random thought.

Those always looking for the emotional responce and signs from God must remember that Satan is the master of disguises.

Satan plays on our emotions and vulnerabilities. He knows what we will fall for.

“Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11:14).

:eek: Whaaaaaaaat? You mean....there are people who CRAVE those kinds of fantastic stories? Standing on one's head in a 7-Eleven is a matter living one's best life ever....isn't it?

Where I do agree with some when they say that God works in mysterious and amazing ways, we sometimes have to call the bluff.....

Absolutly agreed. God DOES work in wonderful ways but He does not go against the logical ways that we all live by.

Example:...........Last week in Bryson City NC, I pulled off the road onto a gravel pull off. The weight of the truck caused it to slide down the hill and we could not get out. Several people helped us to push, and we dug it out and tried for an hour but no go.
Then a man pulled up in his truck and asked if we needed help getting out. He attached a strap, pulled and in 5 minutes we were out after trying for an hour. I asked him what I owed him and he said nothing. I told him I was a Christian retired pastor and and I always paid for those who go out of their way to help. He pulled up his right sleave and there on his forearm was the tattto of.......
"JESUS CHRIST SAVES SINNERS".

We hugged, my grandkids came over and we prayed together right there and as several people walked by, they gathered around and we had CHURCH right there on the side of the road in Bryson City!!!

That was logical....and planned by God and that is how He works.

Now this is a great example of when God speaks to us and works all things together for good, especially when Major blew it by driving off the road. lol! 😎
