Fanny Crosby-favourite hymns...what's yours, and why?

All the way my Savior leads me
What have I to ask beside?
Can I doubt His faithful mercies?
Who through life has been my guide
Heavenly peace, divinest comfort
Ere by faith in Him to dwell
For I know whate'er fall me
Jesus doeth all things well

All of the way my Savior leads me
And He cheers each winding path I tread
Gives me strength for every trial
And He feeds me with the living bread
And though my weary steps may falter
And my soul a-thirst may be
Gushing from a rock before me
Though a spirit joy I see

And all the way my Savior leads me
Oh, the fullness of His love
Perfect rest in me is promised
In my Father's house above
When my spirit clothed immortal
Wings it's flight through the realms of the day
This my song through endless ages
Jesus led me all the way

Hello Choose Life;

Psalm 23
speaks to me. I have added this hymn and the reason why. 2024 has been a banner year in ministry for me. Yet the challenges still get in the way, or there may be a reason I cross them. Regardless, the Lord has taught me that His calling for me is indeed His Will for me, therefore, nothing can get in the way of His glory and what will get done.

As the song says, All the way my Savior leads me What have I to ask beside?

God bless you, Choose Life, and I pray God's embrace is upon you and your family.

Here is mine. Blessed Assurance. I have a fond memory of my childhood church singing this, and after being sung, the pastor was moved to call on the congregation to sing the refrain again, but to follow his lead to hold the notes when he raised his hand. He wanted the rafters to shake and anyone nearby to hear us. He held the notes out on "Savior" and "Long". Chills just went though my body at the time and I still remember it like yesterday.
  1. Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine!
    Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
    Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
    Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
    • Refrain:
      This is my story, this is my song,
      Praising my Savior all the day long;
      This is my story, this is my song,
      Praising my Savior all the day long.
  2. Perfect submission, perfect delight,
    Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
    Angels, descending, bring from above
    Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
  3. Perfect submission, all is at rest,
    I in my Savior am happy and blest,
    Watching and waiting, looking above,
    Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
