Fixing sins but still sinning

I've been focusing on God more than ever lately. So I've been actually reading the bible daily. Ive tried to cut down on the curse words. I try to still talk nicely with my parents even when they start becoming annoying. Went from watching porn everyday to not even thinking about it. Not gonna lie today is the 6th day I went without porn or masturbation and I caved in. Sucks because im injured right now and sit at home all day, instead of being at work or the gym.

Would God be mad if Im still doing these bad habits but still working on it? Its very hard but im getting better, no doubt.

God loves you! No matter what! He knows where you were and where you are going! Keep your eyes focused on Him and not on the sins that you commit. Repent as often as you need to and stand on 1 John 1:9. After you repent receive your forgiveness and cleansing from all unrighteousness. For the Blood of Jesus cleanses you from all sin.

The more you renew your mind with the Word of God....the more your desire for God will grow and will remove the desire for worldly behaviors and things. Let the living Word of God replace those worldly habits that lead to sin and death. Dive into the Word head first and don't come up for air :)

Living a life of faith and walking according to the Word takes practice, for you have to train your mind and your flesh to submit to God's ways. It took you over 20 years to get where you are and lasting solid changes don't always happen over night. It takes time to learn to walk. But remember that no temptation has seized you except what is common to man (1 Corinthians 10:13) and Jesus bought your victory over 2000 years ago, so the devil has no power over you except what you allow. So resist the devil and he will (has to) flee. Draw close to God and He will draw close to you and give you strength to overcome the works of the devil. In Jesus you are an overcommer!

1 Corinthians 10:13
There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Also read 1 John

1 John 4:4
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

God bless you! We will be praying for you!

Ask God to give you Scriptures to help you to know what the way out is. For me in different situations i have found praying in the spirit helps :)

God may love you no matter what. But that does not equate to us loving God. God loves the devil.

Do you love God? How do you know you do?

You can repent all day but if your repentance is not truthful you just filling the air with noise.

Porn is evil, if you watching it everyday you have no victory over it.

There are two ways to deal with sins for a Christian.

1. Is more inline with Cturtles recommendations of focusing on Jesus. This normally works in your younger years of being a Christian. Kind of like being consumed with love for your newly wedded wife and easily able to ignore all other woman.

2. When you have been married for a while, you need to deal more with / focus on the reality that adultery is evil personified and put practical measures in place to avoid being tempted. We are in a long distance race.

I disagree with the notion that we must not be sin focused. The devil wants us to think we are en route to heaven. When our God given brain and the Holy Spirit tell us otherwise.

Kj,
Please Stop making such wrong claims as God loves the devil. There is No scripture to back this most wrong claim of yours.
God Bless

Here is a couple of other verses i was reminded of by the Holy Spirit to give you
Joshua 1:8
This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success.
Pro 4:20 — Pro 4:27

My son, attend to my words;
incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Let them not depart from thine eyes;
keep them in the midst of thine heart.
For they are life unto those that find them,
and health to all their flesh.

Keep thy heart with all diligence;
for out of it are the issues of life.
Put away from thee a froward mouth,
and perverse lips put far from thee.
Let thine eyes look right on,
and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Ponder the path of thy feet,
and let all thy ways be established.
Turn not to the right hand nor to the left:
remove thy foot from evil.

God bless

A suggestion..... every time you feel the urge, go to God's Word. That way you are putting God first and putting something in its place. Just like in
Mat 12:43 — Mat 12:45
When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.

Amen

Hebrews 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.

Forget your God given brain bro- what does the word of God say? Where do you get this from that we need to be sin minded and the devil tells us we are going to heaven and our brains and the Holy spirit tells us different?

God is love 1 John 4:8 + There is no darkness in Him at all 1 John 1:5 + The Lord is good to all, He has compassion on all that He has made Psalm 145:9 + He has made everything beautiful Ecc 3:11 + Everything He created is good 1 Tim 4:4 + lateral thought off the fact that God gave the devil the time of day on not one but three occasions Matt 4 + Jesus loved demons more then pigs when He cast them into them Matt 8:31.

What scripture do you have? Please stop causing people to think it is ok to hate the devil. If you hate, like the enemy, you are no better, then the enemy. Please try understand that.

You could not quote that verse more out of context. I could give you 1 000 from Paul. But will recommend you simply read 1 Cor 5.

Are you seriously trying to say Jesus loved demons more then pigs or God loves the devil and we are not to hate the devil or what he stands for?
Dude God hates sin.......your scripture use is not 100 percent inline with scripture.

Explain this to me then. Is sin pure or Holy or up lifting or edifying the body? Well we are told to think on things such as these. If God destroys our sins and remembers them no more. Are we to remember them and think on them even though God won't? Grace Gods overwhelming desire to treat us as if sin never happened. Being sin conscience or sin minded is putting our attention on the things the devil wants to use to keep us trapped and falling down and feeling like worthless worms.

You seem to have things backwards here brother

I asked you for the scripture you have that forms your view. Discussions between you and I going forward will only be on scripture. If you disagree with the scripture I quoted, understand that you saying the underlined does not debunk it. Only scripture corrects scripture.

Of course God hates sin ;).

So God hates sin but loves the devil? How is this so

God gave us all grey matter with a hippocampus for memory.

We have the ability to recall in absolute clarity those wicked deeds we did plenty years back. Would God have given us this kind of brain if He wanted us to forget? God wants us to know and be convinced of the fact that we are forgiven. When we are, we do not dwell on them as much.

Paul is clear to us in Rom 6 that we must not abuse grace. Please read it and then come back to me.
