Gal 3:1-5

Galatians 3:1-5

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)
Justification through Faith

3 You foolish Galatians! Who has hypnotized you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was vividly portrayed as crucified? 2 I only want to learn this from you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by hearing with faith? 3 Are you so foolish? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now going to be made complete by the flesh? 4 Did you suffer so much for nothing—if in fact it was for nothing? 5 So then, does God supply you with the Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law or by hearing with faith?

These are my thoughts please share yours.
1 To believe the truth of Christ is to accept a teaching that would be against their current way of life. Pegan life was a lifestyle as Christianity should be for believers. It is unthinkable what Christ did for us.
2 One can do works without having the Spirit it is the idea of religion but to have the Spirit creates a relationship. Jesus was personal but false gods were not personal. We recieve the Spirit by faith and then He works in us and thru us. Wecan not work to recieve the Spirit.
3 We should not seek after the flesh once we seek the Spirit and recieve it.
4 When we recieve the Spirit there will be a change in us and we will be changed inside out. If we just follow in the do's and don'ts instead of following Chirst we will fall but with Christ comes mercy. We don't believe off fact but thru what the Spirit does for us thru faith.
5 We recieve the Spirit by faith for the Spirit to do work in us.
