Garlic and Butter French Baguettes w/Aged Cheddar

Garlic and Butter French Baguettes w/Aged Cheddar

Find the richest cheddar cheese you can get, specifically the Isle of Man Aged Cheddar, a fresh French baguette from your baker, and garlic and butter to make this delicious dish that is filling and easy to make.

You will need:
1 French Baguette
1 block of aged cheddar cheese (if you are not able to access any good cheddar, use fresh mozzarella cheese)
1 clove of fresh garlic
1 stick of butter

1. Take French baguette, slice down center, then cut into equal portions. Pull apart at the center and place onto a cookie sheet.
2. Peel garlic clove, chop finely.
3. Take butter, cut in half, place in a microwave safe measuring cup with garlic.
4. Place in microwave and cook on high for about 25 minutes or until butter has begun to melt. Take out, stir with spoon to melt it completely and mix the garlic.
5. Drizzle lightly over bread. Save some for dipping.
6. Take cheese, slice and place on bread.
7. Place in oven to broil at about 300 degrees until cheese has melted and bread is nice and crunchy. Do not overcook.
8. Take out of oven once cheese has melted completely, place onto a plate, and serve warm with your dipping sauce!

Enjoy!
