Greetings of peace and love, to all who enter this topic.
Hi, my name is Kat. I am a preacher's wife. My husband is newly ordained and we are just getting our ministry started. I am a prayer warrior and always ready, willing and able to talk to the Big Guy, so if you ever have a need please call on me.
The signature that I choose is a verse that is very special to me. You see, I had wandered away from God for awhile, in search of Him. I know that sounds odd, but I was raised in a church that did not teach God, but taught Hell. I wanted to know God, I just didn't know how to go about it.
I had always loved God. The first church I went to taught me about Jesus and God, but I was just a child of 8 or 9 when we switched churches, I was given the milk at that first church, but we changed churches long before I was ready for the meat. Unfortunately, I ended up in a really bad church. REALLY BAD! All through my teenage years I was brow beaten with hell. It really turned me off to church. I left and didn't even want to talk about God for a number of years. When I was in my late twenties I started looking into all kinds of different things when I finally decided what was missing from my life was God.
During my wandering I fell into the hands of false doctrine and a false religion. I was lonely and frustrated. In my despair I asked God to send me someone who could just explain things to me, and who would love me in spite of myself. 11 years later, He did. God directed me to talk to that strange fella from the South, that I had known for years, but had never really paid much attention to. I thought I would be converting him to my false religion, boy was I ever WRONG!! God used this man's voice to teach me of Him. God gave this redneck from Mississippi, all the answers to all the questions that no one had ever been able to answer for me. (That a sure sign you are in a bad church, when they cannot or will not help you find answers.) While he was explaining the Trinity, how Jesus is God, how only God can resurrect the dead, I fell in love with the man. Being older when we met, we didn't waste time. We got together and married in a very short amount of time.
Now I am married to that wonderful, beautiful man. He is an inspiration to me. His love of God still amazes me, 3 years later.
A little more about me, I'm the momma of a 6 pack of Pitt Bull and Pitt Bull/Boxer mixed dogs. They are a huge part of my life and I talk about them often, just wanted to warn you.
I tend to only want to talk about a few things, God, my family (which includes my dogs) and a good cup of coffee.
Thanks for allowing me to be part of your site. I will try my best to behave and get along.
Sincerely your sister in Christ,
Kat
