Think refers to the fact that the saved spouse brings the Lord into the household with them, and can be a godly influence!

Many of these were new converts as such they had existing relationships with unbelievers. They are given this advice:
1 Cor 7:12-13 But to the rest speak I, not the Lord: If any brother hath a wife that believeth not, and she be pleased to dwell with him, let him not put her away. 13 And the woman which hath an husband that believeth not, and if he be pleased to dwell with her, let her not leave him. (KJV)
Choosing as a believer to marry an unbeliever is an entirely different situation. God can bless it, but you must expect problems.

After Paul had come and preached the gospel to the people in Corinth, a husband would accept Christ but the wife did not and visa versa. So then, what were they to do......divorce or stay together or what?
Verse 14 then says if the unbeliever walks out of the marriage then the believer is free. That believer is then free to marry again.
Verse 15 then tells them that the goal of the wife //husband should try and win their spouce to Christ.
If the home is broken up the lost spouce is removed from the spiritual influence from the relationship. The children are in the samr place of spiritual influence from their parent if the home stays intact.
You see, as long as the unsaved person lives with the saved person the chance of that lost person getting saved from the influence of the saved person is 50%.
If the marriage breaks up and the lost person leaves that influence, his chance of being saved then actually falls to "0" %.
Better a chance than NO chance!

It’s the gospel key that can lock or unlock the gates of hell. When mankind attributes the work of God’s hand (will) to that of mankind then the apostles cry out blasphemy. We serve the likeness of God who is not a man .God is Light. God is Love. God is Spirit.
Why make those sent with the power of God as gods in the likeness of men after the philosophies of man and not after the word of God face to face in the revealed knowledge? We serve one God as Master not a legion of gods in the likeness of mankind.

Think that ther clear plan of God would be that the saved only marry another saved, as the situation being addressed by Paul was what if after marriage, one party now gets saved while other still lost?
True, as the Lord revealed will was that the saved should only marry the fellow saved, while Paul was addressing as you stated what happened if now one of marriage find themselves saved and other still is lost?

We have been praying for you since your inquiry, which is very serious in your walk with Christ. The Scriptures are very clear with some anointing posts by our brothers and sisters at CFS, your home, community and church.
I hope the Lord is leading you to work it out. At the same time, we are here for you, brother.
Why not find a woman without such baggage, to which you are attracted? If you are here at a Christian site asking this question, do you need to know why you would not want such a relation--marriage or otherwise?
Refers to those who were both lost and not saved, got marries, had kids, and now one of them got saved!
I think what he said there assumes it could just as easily gone the other direction. He implies that some of them become believers.
I have found that gender dynamics matter: girls whose father is a believer will usually do best; boys whose mother has become a skeptic will do worst. The other 2 situations are in between.
Obviously this is speaking of a couple who have already married not knowing it was a bad idea. Only one is a Christian. The children are not illegitimate (unclean).
