Heya!

Heya!

I'm the new guy, I guess. I'm pretty much an open book, so feel free to ask anything. I guess that's the easiest way to get to know me. I'm looking for a place where people are focused on what truly matters (salvation), instead of what I call "how-many-angels-to-screw-in-a-light-bulb" theology.

Because in the end, it doesn't matter how many angels it takes to screw in a light bulb. It matters that we reach the world for Jesus Christ in a biblical, authentic, honest way. I hate hypocrisy in my own life as well as the lives of others, and we as Christians are far too often guilty of denying the One we claim to worship. I pray that such is not the case here.

I look forward to getting to know all of you and fitting in here. I've been banned from five other Christian forums for disagreeing with them, and I hope I've finally found a place that's willing to love me even if we disagree.

Welcome Rob

Rob, welcome to the forums. Just remember to keep your discussions friendly and allow others to discuss along with you. We are not denominational so we'll have to handle that really carefully. Our forums will have a balance of light and serious discussions.

But certainly we will not approve of anything which God will not approve of. Like you said, the Word of God has to be taken seriously. There's no way around it.

Looking forward to learning more from you. ;)

The biggest thing is that people find out the sins in my life (because I'm an open and honest person about what I do, feel, and think), and despite the fact that I agree with them that the sins I have are not good, they condemn me for them.

I have been banned from a forum because I was a pornography addict, and admitted it, "thereby allowing the demon of pornography to exist in my life."

I have been banned from a forum because I said that we are no longer under the Law, but under grace.

I have been banned because I said that there is no specific verse in Scripture stating that two people of the opposite sex cannot sleep (actually rest) in the same bed, despite the fact that temptation would exist in that situation and it is not a good idea. I make no declaration on the sinful nature (or lack thereof) in such a situation, because the Bible doesn't say specifically. Because I presented this view, I was banned from a forum.

I have been banned because I'm a smoker, and I said I wasn't ready to quit at that moment.

I am hesitant to try joining another forum, but I decided I'd give folks a chance if they'll give me one.

Welcome~ remember all forums are made up of the personalities of the members. But I think you will fit in just fine. Also, if we cannot tell our problems to other Christians and seek help, then something is not right. When we speak of our sins in our own willingness to do so, we are not looking for or deserve judgement. We are looking for strength in God~
I hope you find it here and many blessings to you.
Also, since same sex, sexual relationships are not normal or moral in God's eyes, I don't see what the problem is with 2 men resting in the same bed. That in itself will not lead to temptation. I would hope it is someone you know and obviously know his preferences! Men have done this since the beginning of time, mostly for warmth and convenience sake.
I guess men shouldn't share a public bathroom, either? Americans can be too touchy about such things IN MY OPINION! You know why? We worry too much what someone else might think! We need to worry more what God thinks!
