Hi, I would like to tell you about Jesus Christ, the only way to God

Hi guys.

I don't know where to post this, but the Lord has been laying it in my heart for the past few days to tell people about Jesus. This burden is so strong that I have felt sick and very desperate to reach out to others and tell them about Jesus. I asked my Pastor if there were any ministries I could do through my church to serve God, but all he said to me was that if there was anything, he'd let me know. God has been driving me to serve Him so bad that I don't think I can wait much longer for an answer from my Pastor, I am desperate here and I don't think he understands just how urgent it is to witness to the lost. People are dying and going to Hell. That is no laughing matter.

So I am going to write a post and witness to the lost on here...

Dear person much loved by the Lord,

Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners like you and me. Have you ever thought about what happens after you die? I have. It has brought me much anxiety thinking about it, because I know that this life does not last forever and one day, we all will die.

A lot of people today do not think about where they will spend eternity, and this thinking is a big mistake.

But what happens after death? The Bible is the only book that can tell us what happens to us after we die. God Himself wrote this great book; it is probably the most important book that was ever written.

Do you mind if I quote some Scriptures? Some people get offended when I quote the Bible, but I never do. Do you know why? Because I am a Christian and I believe that Jesus is my Saviour. The Bible says so. And with that being said, I will give you some Bible verses to help you and educate you.

So what happens after we die? The Bible teaches that man is a tripart being composed of spirit, soul, and a fleshly body. At death, our souls separate from our body and goes back to God to be judged by Him. God will judge everything we do in the body, whether good or bad.

But here is the bad news. You see, nobody is truly a good person. You see, only God is truly good.

Have you ever told a lie? Have you ever stolen anything? Have you ever hated anyone? If you have, then you have sinned. Killing others is also a sin, and yet you hear every day on the news that someone has murdered somebody else. Why? Because mankind are sinners and on their way to a burning Hell.

Rom 3:23 :
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

Now that you know that no one is good in God's eyes, how do we then become good? How do we become vindicated before God? The Bible teaches that we need to have Jesus' righteousness but the only way to do that is to come to Him by faith:

Rom 10:9
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Rom 10:10
For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

So you see that you need to believe in your heart that God raised up Jesus from the dead, and you also need to confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

If you die without Christ, you will spend eternity in Hell. In our modern world today, people think that Hell is a place of never-ending parties and good times. They think that all of their friends will be there. But that is far from the truth. You would think that these people have never read the Bible, or that they have never taken it seriously.

The Bible teaches that Hell is a place of never-ending fire and torment, and my dear friend, that is not very much fun (this truth has scared a lot of people). It is a place of tears and no hope. It is darkness and loneliness. You won't be able to see anyone at all. It is eternal separation from God Himself. Since God is the Source of Joy and Happiness, that means that everything apart from Him is tears, sorrow, and no happiness. And that does not sound like very much fun at all, doesn't it?

So my dear friend, for your own eternal safety, I pray that you will accept Jesus Christ into your heart today, and make Him Lord over your life.

If you have done this, you need to find a Bible-believing church where you can grow in God's Word. And you also need to find out what God wants you to do with your life, so that you may serve Him.

Blessings,
Jacqueline

God bless you and good morning, Jacqueline;

There is always an opportunity to serve God. This is a good start to share the Gospel of Christ right here at Christian Forum Site. The whole world is able to read your thread including me. I have to be reminded everyday to bring my confessions of sin directly to God and ask His forgiveness. Thank you for the reminder, sister.

I don't know why your pastor said if there is anything he would let you know. I don't know his position so I cannot comment. I will lift him and your church family in my prayers daily. I'm also praying for you and your burning heart to reach the lost for Christ. PRESS ON! Again, your posting your testimony here at CFS is a great start and am looking forward to reading our brothers and sister's post to your thread!

God bless you and your family, Jacqueline.

Hi Jacqueline. I understand your frustration in wanting to serve the Lord by evangelizing, yet struggling to find opportunities to do so. I too have been asking the Lord for a way to serve Him, and what He has taught me thus far is that I need to quietly wait for His answer. Please note, I am not suggesting that this is what the Lord is telling you, not by any means. For me, however, I keep praying for the Lord to use what gifts He has given me so that I may become an instrument for spreading the Word.

Right now, for me, I believe that the Lord is teaching me patience. I have slowly resigned myself to continuing to pray and to wait for what He has planned for me. I keep getting the impression that He wants me to work on myself right now more than anything else, but as I reflect back on the past few years I realize that perhaps He has already been answering my prayer, but it's just that I didn't recognize it. I had a preconceived notion about how I wanted to serve. After being approached by a number of people, I wanted to put together a mini-seminar on how to recognize how God works in our everyday lives. I proposed this course to the church I attended at that time, and I was quite full of enthusiasm for putting the materials together and writing the workbook. The reception by the ministers was tepid and eventually I gave up on the entire thing. I couldn't understand why my idea couldn't get off the ground. In the meantime, however, I kept up with my personal Bible study, and helped my mother with her daily readings from a devotional I bought her. My husband, following my steps, also started attending church regularly, and he now has his own little ministry at our current church - that of taking care of the grounds (yes, grounds keeping is a ministry in that it serves the church).

All the time that I was asking God for a way to serve, He was using my faith to be an example to those around me to become more involved with the church and with reading the Word. While I thought I was doing nothing, I was serving as an instrument of the Lord to lead by quiet example. It certainly wasn't what I envisioned, and I have since learned to not have expectations when asking the Lord for a way to serve. The Lord uses us in the way that we can best serve Him, even though we are often unaware of what that ultimately looks like. Now, instead of feeling disappointed that I am not doing what I envisioned, I have finally arrived at that place where any kind of servitude is viewed as a joyful privilege. Perhaps that was part of my lesson. Whatever He has planned for me in the future is no longer something that I have any firm ideas about. In my case I simply expect the unexpected.

I am very impressed with the fervor that you have for spreading God's word and it comes across in your writing. Thank you for your wonderful uplifting post. Even among Christians there is always need for encouragement and words that uplift us and remind us of our basic beliefs. I look forward to your future posts and ultimately I sincerely hope that you Lord will grant you the platform that you seek to reach those who need the message the most.

Blessings to you.

PS: Jacqueline - Many Christians who burn with the desire to evangelize often start their own blogs on line. It is a fact right now that there is an urgent need to bring youth into the church. At present there is a huge deficit in young people in churches everywhere. There certainly is a lot of work to be done to bring these souls into the fold. What they seek first and foremost is authenticity in writers and evangelists. You seem to have a great deal of youthful energy, and the authenticity of your love for the Lord is quite apparent. It's just an idea I thought I'd pass on to you. Blessings.
