Hi, I'm John

John means, essentially, "Yahweh is Gracious."

I bear witness that this is true. For if he were not so, I would have no hope, and I would still be in my sins. But as it stands, he delivered his Son up for us all. And after bore the Wrath of God Almighty, he rose from the dead. But, you all know this already, I'm sure.

Nonetheless, Robert Lowry wrote a pretty cool hymn about this:

Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior,
waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord!

Refrain:
Up from the grave he arose;
with a mighty triumph o'er his foes;
he arose a victor from the dark domain,
and he lives forever, with his saints to reign.
He arose! He arose! Hallelujah! Christ arose!

2. Vainly they watch his bed, Jesus my Savior,
vainly they seal the dead, Jesus my Lord!
(Refrain)

3. Death cannot keep its prey, Jesus my Savior;
he tore the bars away, Jesus my Lord!

Which reminds me… resurrection Sunday is coming up pretty soon…

Glad to be here with you all.
