Eph_6:2 Honour thy father and mother; (which is the first commandment with promise)
Eph 6:3 That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.
Pro 23:22 Listen to your father who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.
My wife and I visit our parents once a month. Whether they are ungodly and annoying or not is irrelevant.
As a parent we do better understand what they went through with us. One can't properly understand this until they are a parent. All parents deserve unconditional love and respect.
