Not sure if this is the right forum for this question. But I have found that mandates, etc... have affected people differently across this country. Our governor still has mandates in place but has left the churches alone. Most of our churches are meeting. Some meet with "non waiver" agreements, some follow social distancing, some wear masks, etc... Our church locked down for 2 weeks at the request of the governor when all of this began in March, then we opened back up. No one is required to wear a mask unless they desire. We don't do social distancing at church (we like to hug too much!). We still have our snacks and pot lucks and gatherings. None have gotten sick from Covid 19.
I have greatly admired the governor in South Dakota on her stance during all of this. It has broken my heart to see so many livelihoods lost, business closed, increased suicide, etc... I breaks my heart to see children going to school with masks when it has been shown that they are the least likely to ever get this sickness and will not carry it to others. There is so much misinformation out there and it saddens me that so many can see the darkness of the media and fail to see their darkness in all of this. But I ramble .... how have you, your church, and your community been affected?
