Hello Bob;

Our new pastor who just started in January needs to go back to Canada to help his wife with their personal business and officiate a funeral next weekend. I've been asked to lead worship while he's gone.

At the end of today's worship service I was asked to encourage other members who will step up and serve next Sunday. Then we asked our Elder to lay hands on Pastor and pray for his trip on Wednesday.

It was very humbling to see our church family come together for the Lord's glory. One member shared with me that since he and his wife joined our church back in February, he felt it was time for him to step up and do more for the Lord.

Thank you for sharing this profound passage and again, Bob, it was God's great timing.

I know we are constructive in many of our discussions here, but it's nice when a new member joins our church and shares it's time to step up and do more for the Lord, not just in church but in our personal lives.

shares it's time to step up

the field is wide open in stepping up . honestly i have a friend saved knows the Bible back ground history very sharp.. makes a excellent teacher. he simply will not come to church one my churches i was pastor at i had him teaching.. few weeks he stopped just my thoughts i wonder if he gets cold feet. thinking God may want him do other things.. honestly not long after i was saved i was asked be s.s superintendent. i took the job . from there progressed to s.s teacher. i took on the teen class i then realized that was not what i should be doing . i stepped down and soon the right teacher took over. sometime i get over my head but i ahve always stepped up even took on little kids class lol soon a little boy wanted talk about his dog ,,i was out classed
