I am a new creation

I am a new creation
Or soon I will be
I’ll fly from flower to flower
Not just eat leaves
I’ll show off my beautiful wings some day so I’m told

I am a new creation
I though I would be able to fly
But these pink buds on my back won’t let me get off the ground
Must say I’m a little disappointed with this new life
Sat here on my leaf
Not munching getting fat
What was the point

What’s happening? things are starting to move
My wings are starting to grow
I can move them flap them can’t fly yet but can
show them off

With wings stretching out fluttering from flower to flower
The nectar tastes so good!
I’ll rest here for a while and let you take a look
At my beautiful delicate wings
The bright colours
Reflecting my creator,
After all He sat back and said I was good!

Unfortunately not a uk 🦋 butterfly a Rosy Maple Moth I believe someone was kind enough to send me the pictures
 
Good morning ALAN.... OH my goodness..... I LOVE LOVE LOVE..... your poem.
it just excites me so much when I see the BEAUTY and MAGNIFICENCE of God's creation.

That moth is spectacular. WOW.

I am HOOKED on these poems within the forums... What a beautiful way to start my day.
