I Cor 16:22.

Can someone explain this verse to me?

I Cor
16:22 If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema
Maranatha.

My Bible says in the footnotes that it means "let him be accursed."
.........................................................................

:israel:You are correct. It means "accursed" or more to the point, self cursed.

The word is a Hebraism, check out Acts 23-14, and Mark 14-71.

Different versions of I Cor 16:22:

If anyone does not love the Lord, a curse be on him. Come, O Lord.

If anyone wont love the Master, throw him out. Make room for the Master.

If anyone does not love the Lord, that person is cursed. Our Lord, come.

Jesus bore our curse on that tree- to not love Him is to refuse His offer of love and stand in your own righteousness which puts you squarely under the curse of sin and death.

Satan is doing a great job of deceiving people into believing they don't need God, or that He doesn't exist. Pride keeps many away from the truth, and they remain under the curse of eternal damnation.
