[FONT="]There are certain things which are principals of life. This is one of those principals. Our love for certain things must generate a serious distaste for that which would destroy what we love. This principal is a natural one as well as a spiritual one. Life is full of opposites which work against each other. For example:[/FONT]

[FONT="] Good Evil[/FONT]
[FONT="] Love Hate[/FONT]
[FONT="] Flowers Weeds[/FONT]
[FONT="] Clean Filth[/FONT]
[FONT="] Smooth Rough[/FONT]
[FONT="] Light Darkness[/FONT]
[FONT="]and on and on the list goes... Today I want to focus on the desire that each of you have inside you to Love God. You want to Love God and have a relationship with Him, but there is an opposite which we must contest with in order for this love to be true... Evil.[/FONT]

[FONT="]I. Love the Lord[/FONT]
[FONT="] A. The desire to Love the Lord[/FONT]
[FONT="] 1. Put there by God in our creation[/FONT]
[FONT="] 2. Often miss applied to others or other[/FONT]
[FONT="] things[/FONT]
[FONT="] B. Although natural in desire, often difficult[/FONT]
[FONT="] to apply in a confused world[/FONT]
[FONT="] 1. Everybody says their religion is right[/FONT]
[FONT="] 2. Most say they go by the Bible[/FONT]
[FONT="] 3. If you want to do something evil, some church will teach its ok[/FONT]
[FONT="] 4. It’s not easy to Love a God you don’t [/FONT]
[FONT="] know or understand[/FONT]
[FONT="] 5. Many don’t know who to call God or how to worship Him (or some say her)[/FONT]
[FONT="] 6. Where does one go to get the truth? [/FONT]
[FONT="] a. To the Bible[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. To the Bible[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. To the Bible[/FONT]
[FONT="] 7. Believe the Bible over what others say[/FONT]
[FONT="] a. One God[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. Jesus is the Everlasting Father[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. Salvation is more than just a simple easy believism[/FONT]
[FONT="] d. Baptism is more than just an[/FONT]
[FONT="] outward sign of an inward faith[/FONT]
[FONT="] e. God is still pouring out the Holy [/FONT]
[FONT="] Ghost with the evidence of [/FONT]
[FONT="] speaking with other tongues[/FONT]
[FONT="] f. It does matter what you believe[/FONT]
[FONT="] as well as what you do and say[/FONT]
[FONT="] C. Loving Flowers involves Time and Effort[/FONT]
[FONT="] 1. Cultivation - Making them Grow[/FONT]
[FONT="] a. Plant the Seeds[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. Water the Seeds[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. Protect the plant[/FONT]
[FONT="] d. Make sure it gets plenty of sun[/FONT]
[FONT="] 2. Planting - To Keep them Growing[/FONT]
[FONT="] a. Right Atmosphere and Location[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. Continued effort and time spent[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. Water and Feed the growing plant[/FONT]
[FONT="] d. Tender plants must be treated carefully[/FONT]
[FONT="] e. Watch out of for the WEEDS![/FONT]
[FONT="] 1. Choke out the light[/FONT]
[FONT="] 2. Steal the nutrients[/FONT]
[FONT="] 3. Producing Flowers and Fruit[/FONT]
[FONT="] a. Keep paying attention to them[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. Still need water and food[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. Still need weeding to produce[/FONT]
[FONT="]II. Hate Evil[/FONT]
[FONT="] A. Evil is clearly portrayed in the Bible[/FONT]
[FONT="] B. The works of the flesh are manifest or[/FONT]
[FONT="] made known: Galatians 5:19-21[/FONT]
[FONT="] a. Adultery[/FONT]
[FONT="] b. Fornication[/FONT]
[FONT="] c. Uncleanness- Phy & in a moral sense: the impurity of lustful living[/FONT]
[FONT="] d. Lasciviousness -[/FONT][FONT="] unbridled lust, excess, wantonness, outrageousness, shamelessness, insolence[/FONT]

[FONT="] m. Heresies [/FONT][FONT="]- [/FONT][FONT="]dissensions arising from diversity of opinions and aims[/FONT]
