Good Day, Friends; In the US and several other countries, elections will be taking place in November. Sooner or later, everyone will be affected by political advertising that various candidates use to elevate themselves and to ridicule their opponents. Many persons who know the teachings of Christ will see that the type of behavior that many political candidates and their committees exhibit, is not a proper way to act. In the New Testament, in Paul's letter to the Philippians, Chapter 2 verses 3-4 (NLT), he mentions, "Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves. 4 Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too."
How amazing it would be to have politicians conduct themselves as Paul's instructions state. Perhaps the mud slinging and harsh words could be turned into kindness and unification to reach a common goal. We can only hope...
