Dear brothers;

I'm inviting all forum General Membership Pastors and Staff Pastors to include Senior Moderators BibleLover, crossnote, Dave F., and rtm3039 to join me in a PM string regarding 'Depression' in particular a Pastor or man of God serving in the ministry.

This does not require a licensed clinical therapist in the PM, but only to share experiences and solutions to a sensitive topic.

Any interested Pastors and Senior Moderators please reply to this 'INVITATION' and only then will the invitees be ADDED to a PM started by bobinfaith.

This PM will be scheduled to begin on Monday, September 8, 2025 @ 8:30 AM PDT.

God bless you, Pastors and Senior Moderators, and thank you.

Bob

This is a topic dear to my heart because I suffered with severe chronic depression from the age of 19 to 58.
Please know that I will be in deep prayer for these discussions. I think depression is far more prevalent in the
church that we even realize. GOD bless you Bob and all the pastors that are going to partake in these discussions.
Most tenderly, DA SHEEP

Heavenly Father,

Thank you for the forums... and THANK YOU for the brilliant and wise pastors we have here on site at CFS.

I ask you to be present with your Holy Spirit this evening as these "seasoned men of God" discuss the very difficult
topic of depression... and how to go about dealing with this awful illness that affects so many in the church.

I pray for WISDOM.... COMPASSION.... TENDERNESS and open hearts to REFLECT upon your most HOLY WORD.

Jesus.... When you walked the earth... you ran up against EVERY single type of OPPRESSION.... SUPPRESSION and DEPRESSION. Teach us how to handle the topic of despair within the church.

I just saw a recent paper that said A study by Duke Divinity School found that the rate of depression among pastors is approximately double that of the general population.

Dear Lord of Creation and author of salvation, I ask that every pastor’s work and every moderator of this site and other, in preaching and teaching be honored, and may they serve with diligence and joy as he leads the people. May every word and action bring glory to God, reflecting Christ in all he does.
I pray that the Holy Spirt will Let God’s Word guide all pastors and church leaders with truth, strengthening every church’s ministry.
May the God of peace equip all pastors with everything needed to do His will and bring glory through faithful service.
I pray that every pastor, worker and shepherd of the flock will operate with integrity, setting an example of humility and faithfulness in ministry. I also ask you Father to Strengthen pastors and church leaders with the power of the Spirit, giving them endurance and hope for each day.!!!!

In Jesus name, Amen!

OH... WHAT beautiful words and MOST PLEASING to OUR LORD of CREATION and of SALVATION.

AMEN. Thank you Major for being YOU. Over these last ( almost two years )... I have really come to appreciate and respect your teaching.

WE are blessed to have a handful of very gifted pastors.... and these forums keep defying the ODDS with regards to actually "being" a real community and family of believers. I think this is because so many of us put that EXTRA touch..... walk that extra mile to not only discuss the Bible.... but also to ensure that each member is being respected... cared for and nurtured.

and NO.... I am NOT sending a LOVE OFFERING this month.
It's BOB's turn. HAHAHAHAHA.....

Always a blessing to speak with you and now at my advanced, retired age, your kind and loving words are all the offering I would ever need.
