14 What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.

14 Brothers and sisters, it doesn’t make any sense to say you have faith and act in a way that denies that faith. Mere talk never gets you very far, and a commitment to Jesus only in words will not save you.15 It would be like seeing a brother or sister without any clothes out in the cold and begging for food, and16 saying, “Shalom, friend, you should get inside where it’s warm and eat something,” but doing nothing about his needs—leaving him cold and alone on the street. What good would your words alone do? 17 The same is true with faith. Without actions, faith is useless. By itself, it’s as good as dead.

14 Our faith is meant to do works. Faith that does nothing isn’t good faith, if we have faith but it has caused a change in our life then its nothing but false security.
15 Basics needs are housing clothes food water we may come into contact with people who need. We are to help them if we can.
16 They turn away someone in need when they have ability to help this shows no love whatsoever, this isn’t saying that we help those who aren’t willing to work because of laziness or those who need food but would rather have money for beer then eat, this is saying we have to be foolish with those we help but means we help those who truly need help.
17 Faith needs works without works faith shows nothing without the works faith don’t show Jesus and without Him it is dead.
