James 2:8-9

James 2:8-9 King James Version (KJV)
8 If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:

9 But if ye have respect to persons, ye commit sin, and are convinced of the law as transgressors.

James 2:8-9 The Voice (VOICE)
8 Remember His call, and live by the royal law found in Scripture: love others as you love yourself. You’ll be doing very well if you can get this down. 9 But if you show favoritism—paying attention to those who can help you in some way, while ignoring those who seem to need all the help—you’ll be sinning and condemned by the law.

8 This was not just said by Jesus but given to Moses with the law. To fully love our neighbor we have to understand the love of Jesus which means to love our neighbor we first have to love God. To show love to others shows that we have God in our lives.

9 To treat others as favorites is sinful no one is more deserving of Christ then anyone else Christ died for all equally we are all on the same level at the cross. Favoritism causes a division a strife that satan can use to bring the church apart let us treat all believers and unbelievers with the love of Christ but if we cant love our family in Christ then it will be impossible for us to love the world who hates Him and us because of Him.
