John 11: 9-10

John 11: 9-10

Verse 9-10 seem to be out of place in relation to the surrounding text. Is there something I'm missing with these two verses?

Is Jesus saying show your faith to the world and all will be well, but hiding it and you'll be in dark.

7Then he said to his disciples, "Let us go back to Judea."
8"But Rabbi," they said, "a short while ago the Jews tried to stone you, and yet you are going back there?" 9Jesus answered, "Are there not twelve hours of daylight? A man who walks by day will not stumble, for he sees by this world's light. 10It is when he walks by night that he stumbles, for he has no light." 11After he had said this, he went on to tell them, "Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep; but I am going there to wake him up."

Christ talked in parables.
He used the light from day and the darkness from night as an example.
We are to live by God's light and not in darkness.
We will not stumble when we walk by God's spirit within us.
He is our light!
