Keep It Simple

How many times have you heard the verse:

"And just as it is destined for people to die once,
and after this comes judgment" (Hebrews 9:27; NAS)

or, likely, as I also learned it, in KJV form:

"And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after
this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27; KJV)

But how many times have we heard it in context and
concluded with the next verse?

"so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins
of many, will appear a second time for salvation without
reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him."
(Hebrews 9:28; NAS)

The first verse here tells us how biology works but the second
tells us how God works!

We were the children of wrath as we were at enmity with
God due to the original sin and were due the recompense of it
upon mankind. However, Jesus fixed that and now we are not
the children of wrath but the children of reward and those
who await Him and watch for Him will see Him without
judgement.

Colossians 1:13 KJV
[13] Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

simple 'nuff.
