Dear brothers and sisters;

I just ordered new progressives. I had to bump up my eyesight and it will take almost 3 weeks to receive them. I don't have backups so it's kind of a bummer.

I also use reading glasses but wearing them normal is blurry. My computer glasses are for just that, the computer, but they're too weak to wear as normal.

It made me think of some of my fellowship brothers and sisters here who struggle with their eyesight so I've decided to take the time to enlarge the fonts of my posts consistently to 18.

I got a little lazy these last several weeks and went back and forth between 15 and 18 font.

God bless you all and happy reading.

Bob

With most web browsers, it just isn't consistent. I have tested it with several sites, and sometimes it will stay for a bit, but usually just reverts when I'm not looking. My solution is to keep a monitor in low resolution and use that for reading, and use another monitor setup with a higher resolution to organize windows. It's not an ideal situation, but neither is getting old.

Brother Bob et al,

A sweet fellow follower of I AM at our church had a tumor removed from his cranium which left him practically blind.
Brother is the sweetest David going... we all pray for his 100% healing.
Knows his Bible backwards and forwards. His Bible being tatter, underlined, and margins full.

Brother Dave has regained tunnel vision.
Our church secretary prints our bulletin in large font for him.
So sweet to accommodate the vision impaired.

I have progressives also and tinting and computer coating.
The lens alone were $800 which I thought was high but am thankful that my implanted astigmatism lens for cataracts and later correction for mostly reading give me the sight I have retained thus far.

My husband and I sit the 2nd row back from the front - the closest one occupied nearest the Pastor - because of our hearing impairment.
I have aids but still struggle to hear all the words spoken. Fortunately our minister uses a microphone.

Many do not realize during Prayer Request time that they should speak up so all can hear their requests.
I turn and face everyone and speak I hope loud enough for those in the back to hear me.

Consider always others and their limitations and strengths.

Well said, sister.

On the side, I would have paid $609.00 for the "new" lens and frames. But my frames were well taken care of so upgrading the lens and popping them on my existing frames came out to only $174.00.

Matthew 6:31-34

Praise God for always doing what's best for us while revealing His Glory.

God bless
you, Mabel.

I used an old set of frames (so 0 there) and the lens were 800 with all the coatings.

May just be the last frames and lens I'll ever need.
Might get some "dime store" computer cheapos for close up.
Kinda' like why invest in a "lifetime" roof (know what I mean Verne)?

I was supposed to get all new lens again in less then 1 yr. (one of my gaslighting docs got me on a bad 'script the side effect was vision impairment after taking less than a month) but I opted to keep my 800 wonders.

Since I morphed more... if people hadn't noticed I do pro bono research but have no medical degree.
