Learning to Grow

Hello you, and today just sharing some scripture and encouragement to continue to grow in Christ Jesus, along with prayer.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is alive and powerful. It is sharper than the sharpest two-edged sword, cutting between soul and spirit, between joint and marrow. It exposes our innermost thoughts and desires.

Colossians 3:16 Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.

Luke 11:9 “And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Luke 1:37 For the word of God will never fail.

Philippians 4:5 Let everyone see that you are considerate in all you do. Remember, the Lord is coming soon.[a]

6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. 7 Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

When it comes to this subject I'm always reminded of Paul's instructions to Timothy.

1Ttim 4:6-11 If thou put the brethren in remembrance of these things, thou shalt be a good minister of Jesus Christ, nourished up in the words of faith and of good doctrine, whereunto thou hast attained. 7 But refuse profane and old wives' fables, and exercise thyself rather unto godliness. 8 For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 9 This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptation. 10 For therefore we both labour and suffer reproach, because we trust in the living God, who is the Saviour of all men, specially of those that believe. 11 These things command and teach. (KJV)

As Christians we need exercise godliness. What is godliness those things that are of God, love, faith, mercy, kindness the fruits of the spirit. Physical exercise profits the body, but not even close to how profitable it is for us to exercise godliness in our life. As physical exercise builds strength the exercising of godliness builds spiritual strength. Profiting us in life now and in the future.

Thank you for your encouraging message, Cp. You are absolutely right with the scripture you have shared. Believe that building up your faith and relationship with God will help in turn your love for other people and praying on their behalf and as well as helping them in their own spiritual struggles or understanding if they so need the help to be lifted up, and you can most certainly find that help in and through the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We can find strength in him, and pray in times of need by going to throne of Grace, and receive mercy in our times of troubles, and need for help.
