I'm not sure about the quite from Open Doors Conference.
Does it mean we do not really mean the words we are singing? That would be scary.

In my earlier response today I said: "Open Doors is a non-denominational mission supporting persecuted Christians in the world." So in their work with many other Christian missions, they would be confronting those who profess to be a Christian, but they are only (I.N.O.) Christ-followers=In Name Only. No doubt, we encounter such people in our community (or even our home church).

Yes, I am very aware of Open Doors. Where I used to help counsel, the director (also a cobbler by trade) was a friend of Brother Andrew and back in the early '80's helped him smuggle 1000s of bibles into China under the disguise of a large shipment of shoes. I worked for the trucking company here in the States used for that operation.

Wow! That's great that you were aware of Brother Andrew. I had read the book "Brother Andrew: Behind Enemy Lines" many years ago. It told about how he would pack his little Volkswagon with as many bibles as he could. I don't recall how he hid them, but whatever he did had God's approval and guidance. Thanks for the reminder.

Hello Bob;

Proverbs 12:22 is very clear but I need clarification with the quote, "Christians don’t tell lies - we just sing them in church." What does that mean, we are all sinners, therefore we must sing? If we are sinless, then don't sing, because then we are lying - 1 John 1:8?

I have never heard of Open Doors. Praise God for their 60 year world mission to support persecuted Christians.

But as part of their ministry to confront those professing to be a Christian "in name only." It sounds like this is Open Doors' ministry on a larger platform as well as supporting persecuted Christians.

However, this is an ongoing work of Christ in every individual Christian and church. Even the most seasoned ministries, disciple and worker all fall short of Jesus' name.

I'm not sure who the "Open Door Conference" is but if they used that saying, then it sounds as if they have strayed from the original stance of Open Doors and Brother Andrew.
