Love is the selflessly giving of self for another. Love cannot be coerced, nor bribed, nor tricked but must be given freely or not at all.
Love is sacrificial. It's purely for another's benefit and not your own. It's for your good.
God shows me personally each day how with the salvation that He has given to me through Christ. He also delivered my two daughters from a path that would have led them to destruction and early death in this life. He restored our relationship. I wake up every morning thanking God how much He loves us and sacrificed His only Son on the cross so that we would have eternal life, so we could have a relationship with him, so we can look forward to our family that have accepted Christ in eternity [knowing that it's everlasting in Jesus]. You can't possibly have that kind of love in the world. Only God's love.

Personally...........It is the ability to trust someone to care for you, and to break your heart, no matter what life brings to the table!
