Did Jesus love the devil?
If so, how?
When loving our enemies dose it have to stop at other people?
If so, how?
When loving our enemies dose it have to stop at other people?
Did Jesus love the devil?
If so, how? God hates evil.
Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (KJV)
Luke 6:35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he (God) is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil. (KJV)
While God hates evil, he is still kind unto them in spite of the evil.
When loving our enemies dose it have to stop at other people?
Amos 5:15 Hate the evil, and love the good, and establish judgment in the gate: it may be that the LORD God of hosts will be gracious unto the remnant of Joseph. (KJV)
Here we are told to hate evil acts and to love the good that people do. Yet we are to love the person who God may or may not call at a later date.
We are to love our enemies because we are not in a position to judge rightly. We cannot possibly know who God will call and use in his work. God alone can judge righteously.
Sometimes it is not easy especially when we are ridiculed, demeaned, persecuted and worse yet put to death by the world.

Jesus doesn't love Satan but He has mercy on even His enemies. Jesus is allowing more time to get as many on the New Covenant Ark before He judges all sin. Satan is like a kid in a candy store and stealing all that he can before the owner steps back in to do inventory. God has given free-will and therefore leaves an alternative in order to sustain that free-will. If I say you have a choice what you want to do when there is only one choice then it's actually not free-will. I think you know what you are trying to say and will figure it out.Did Jesus love the devil?

well, does Love not have a sense of knowledge to it? when we love someone, we usually know them right? in a sense of knowing what they are like..
I mean look at Phil. 1;9. and this is my prayer, that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.
surely then, true biblical Love requires knowledge. and Jesus knew satan for sure...
so, surely we can't love anyone without knowing them..we are told to lo love God. and watch the devil.
im not saying we love the sin. the acts of sin, but without some kind of awareness( which in itself is a form of love) we can't possibly love anything?
thoughts please... I might be barking up the wrong tree here.
Edit; I have come to the conclusion, that it’s not love Satan needs, it’s awareness.
thanks everyone for your posts. I’m done with this thread xxx
