Mabel Lean - Welcome to the forum

Scotties are unique lil boogers lemme tell you!

They have their own lil minds to be sure. If not sent to doggie school will take over a home as tyrants.

My best friend came to get pick o litter and made the mistake - I warned her ahead of time - not to sit on the kitchen floor with the 7 lil barracudas.

They attacked with the long spiked toofers and pulled off her socks. Her companion said I deserved a metal raising the wild childs.

Clearly the BEST job I ever had for those precious pack 3 months being a doggy granny.

Our Scotty mates were carefully chosen on type should they merit to increase this rare breed to go to families. No inbreeding and excellent not crossed lines. Neyll for her sweet temperament and Moose for his dashing looks. Their pick Colin was exquisite and not to be shown. I would not allow any of the babies to be exploited.

All now in Heaven.

I look forward to sitting on the ground with toofers comin’ my way!

Oooo happy day!

Our Scotty (Farley), was a rescue of sorts. The day we picked up Farley, my wife felt small bumps in the fur and went straight to the vet, where they took out more than 50 ticks. The next 14+ years were sweet. Farley died on Christmas morning, as our daughter was opening her gifts, but we knew it was coming.

Oh no Crossnote! What a blow at such a time.
Farley lived a long time for a Scotty.

Ours made it to around 12 and 13. Most show-bred Scotties only live to age 8 and usually die of cancer.

Our families were so blessed to have this wonderful breed. Few families have that opportunity to have this closed down breed. So glad to have been able to share them with families who love independence and fun!
