Hello Matiro, Marilyn, Prim90;

I woke in the middle of the night thinking of the Australian classic from 1960, Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport by Rolf Harris. Here are two versions.

I remembered as a boy this old song and used to call it, Johnny Kangaroo Down Sport. lol!

Do you remember?

God bless you all down under.

Bob

Bob Perhaps an icon from a previous generation but maybe not for those who have been touched. A Australian iconic song no more. But still they do say the love does cover a multitude of sins. And they do also say that time does eventually heal all things

Hi Bob,

Thanks for thinking of us. And what a strange song to remember us by. Probably all the Australian creatures in it.

Good morning, Marilyn;

I never heard of Australia when I was 7 and the first time I heard this song on the radio. It was in the kitchen while we lived in England.

Now that I'm older, I agree with you. It is strange to wake up with the chorus of this song on my mind.

God bless
you, Marilyn.
