More of God's Blessings - Learning

Our new Blessings series is starting with the Blessing of Learning.

God has given us intelligence and the ability to think and to learn.
We start learning at the moment that we are born and we become informed by way of our learning. As we mature, one of the most important things that we can learn is God's Word and the Gospel of Jesus.

Psalm 32:8 (WEB) - I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go. I will counsel you with my eye on you.”

God furnishes us with His Teachings and it is up to us to dedicate ourselves to learning, if we wish to become better persons. We have free will to decide as to what we learn and how to apply what we learn to our lives. God's Word gives us all that we need, to be kind and caring and to be a role model for others, as we share God's Word with persons who also wish to learn.

Philippians 4:9 (WEB) - The things which you learned, received, heard, and saw in me: do these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

Learning God's Word is not difficult. All we have to do is select a source of Scripture that we are comfortable with and start reading. God will do the rest.

Matthew 11:29-30 (WEB) - 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

More of God's Blessings - Understanding

Sometimes we may come across scripture that we do not understand, and so we look up the same words in different versions of the Bible, still without 100 percent Understanding. We may ask someone else, but no success there either. It can be very frustrating.

Of course there other reasons we do not understand. Have we moved away from God lately, being laden with cares of the world? That can happen to most people.

Matthew spoke of this in Chapter 13 -

Matthew 13:13
"Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they don't see, and hearing they don't hear. Neither do they understand."

More places in scripture mention that we understand from our heart. We sometimes have to pull our selves up and ask God to refresh our hearts and bless us with understanding.

Job asked for understanding -

Job 6:24 (WEB)
"Teach me to and i will hold my peace. Cause me to understand my error."

Are you and I one of these well blessed people -

Psalm 111:10 (WEB)
"The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom. All those who do his work have a good understanding. His praise endures forever."

A prayer for the blessing of understanding -

Psalm 119:34
"Give me understanding and I will obey your law with all my heart."

More of God's Blessings - Knowledge.

When we learn God's Word and we expand our understanding of God's Word, we then have knowledge of God's Word. We can share that knowledge with others and plant the seeds of God's Word with them. We also pray that they will accept God's Word and learn more themselves.

Proverbs 1:7 (WEB) - The fear (reverence) of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; but the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.

Our knowledge is a precious resource for others and we should share whenever we can and be as accurate as possible.

Proverbs 19:27 (WEB) - If you stop listening to instruction, my son, you will stray from the words of knowledge.

As we mature on our Life Path, with God's leadership, we can see how the Words that we share with others multiply many fold, as others grasp God's Word and are inspired to learn more.

2 Peter 3:18 (WEB) - But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

More of God's Blessings - Wisdom


Proverbs 3:13-14 (WEB)
13. Happy is the man who finds wisdom 14. For her good profit is better than getting silver, and her return is better than fine gold.

Have you ever been in a situation you don't understand properly, and therefore you have no idea how to react or deal with it? I have several times, and it is very frustrating.

One time Solomon prayed for an understanding heart, so that he could rule God's people justly. And God was very pleased with that prayer. He gave Solomon much wisdom, greater than any other king.

Do we forget we can ask for wisdom?

But if any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given him.

If we pray with faith we are told it will be answered.

Luke 11:9-10 (WEB)
9. “I tell you, keep asking, and it will be given you. Keep seeking, and you will find. Keep knocking, and it will be opened to you. 10. For everyone who asks receives. He who seeks finds. To him who knocks it will be opened.

James 3:17 (WEB)
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.

More of God's Blessings - Discernment

This Blessings series has included Learning, Understanding, Knowledge and Wisdom. Once we have developed these educational Blessings from God, we can then develop Discernment: our ability to reason and know what is right and wrong, good and evil and true and false. The latter is a Blessing because with Discernment, we can know who the false teachers of God's Word are and ignore them.

1 John 4:1 (WEB)
Beloved, don’t believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

The persons and organizations that change and manipulate God's Word usually have an agenda. It might be for financial gain in some way or more troubling, for deception as a worker of Satan. Our Discernment keeps us safe against these false teachers.

Philippians 1:9-11(WEB)
9 This I pray, that your love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and all discernment, 10 so that you may approve the things that are excellent, that you may be sincere and without offense to the day of Christ, 11 being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

When we discover false teachings, we should inform others, so they are not captured by the traps of these false teachers.

Romans 12:2
Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

More of God's Blessings - Enlightenment

Ephesians 1:18 (WEB)
...having the eyes of your hearts enlightened, that you may know what is the hope of his calling, and what are the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

If we think back, how much did we know before God called us? It is important to remember not to rely on our own understanding.
God calls and and opens our hearts, minds and ears.
We are receiving the blessing of Enlightenment and we will not be tricked by deceit.
We should remember and ask for the enlightenment.

I have heard of you, that the spirit of the gods is in you, and that light, understanding, and excellent wisdom are found in you.

Ezra 9:8 (WEB)
Now for a little moment grace has been shown from Yahweh our God, to leave us a remnant to escape, and to give us a nail in his holy place, that our God may lighten our eyes, and revive us a little in our bondage.

We must remain faithful, if we fall we must get up again, and not lose thus wonderful blessing.

Yahweh"s precepts are right, rejoicing the heart.
Yahweh"s commandment is pure, enlightening the eyes.

More of God's Blessings - Happiness

This series of Blessings has included Learning God's Word, Understanding God's Word, Knowledge of God's Word, Wisdom from that knowledge, Discernment from that wisdom and Enlightenment from that discernment. As we go forward on our Christian path, these things give us Happiness when we understand about eternal Salvation.

Proverbs 16:20 (WEB)
He who heeds the Word finds prosperity. Whoever trusts in Yahweh is blessed.

When we, as Christian Believers, commit ourselves to God and the Gospel of Jesus, we feel a warmth and happiness inside. Being Happy in the Word allows those around us to feel happy as well and allows them to read more and learn more.
That is a Blessing for us.

When we find Happiness in The Word, we feel safe and secure because God is with us.

Psalm 18:2 (WEB)
Yahweh is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
