Every time I read through the Psalms (just finished this last time about a month ago) I read one and say "That's my favorite" and then another and say "
That's my favorite!" I gave up trying to pick a favorite.
At the top of the list though is:
Psalm 27:1 -
"The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?"
Psalm 27:4 -
"One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after;
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to behold the beauty of the Lord,
and to inquire in his temple."
Psalm 30:2 is very special to me, as he literally did this for me -
"O Lord my God, I cried to thee for help,
and thou hast healed me."
And then I love all of Psalm 8 -
"O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is thy name in all the earth!
Thou whose glory above the heavens is chanted
by the mouth of babes and infants,
thou hast founded a bulwark because of thy foes,
to still the enemy and the avenger.
When I look at thy heavens, the work of thy fingers,
the moon and the stars which thou hast established;
what is man that thou art mindful of him,
and the son of man that thou dost care for him?
Yet thou hast made him little less than God,
and dost crown him with glory and honor.
Thou hast given him dominion over the works of thy hands;
thou hast put all things under his feet,
all sheep and oxen,
and also the beasts of the field,
the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea,
whatever passes along the paths of the sea.
O Lord, our Lord,
how majestic is thy name in all the earth!"
And I could go on! See my dilemma!
