One man's trash is another Man's treasure

One of the most powerful thoughts in all the Bible: Romans 5:7,8:
"For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

What a passage! Would one of us risk our life to save a man known for doing right? Hardly. Would we risk the same for a man who is esteemed to be good by those around him? Perhaps some might.

But God commendeth His love toward us, in this: While we were yet SINNERS He died for us!

Righteous? Good? No, no, no - while we were yet a pile of no good rotten garbage and filthy rags, He died for you and me! What manner of love is this, that we should be called the sons and daughters of the Most High God! Oh, let us lift up our voices in praise to His matchless love!

Amen! Only God could take the weakness of our filthy rags, and live His
righteous strength through them, in us. What a glorious hope!
