Out of Proportion

It is amazing how discomfort and pain can be incredibly out of proportion to the source of the pain.
A paper cut or muscle spasm can hurt like the worst of injuries even though it is only the slightest of injuries.
Seasonal allergies can make you miserable for days on end even though they are just a very minor reaction to something around us.

That’s something for us to think about when the ones we love and others around us hurt us or make us angry.
Do we really have cause to be hurt or angry, or is it just another out of proportion pain response to a very minor irritation?

Whenever possible it is wise to take a moment and consider that before we speak.

Proverbs 10:19, Proverbs 17:28, Proverbs 21:23, Proverbs 25:15

This reminds me of the parable of the unforgiving servant: Matthew 18: 21-35.

It's like the thorn in Pauls side that he asked God to remove...three times! Annoying, tiny and hurtful...but probably there to keep us from becoming too proud.

Words have power to bless or curse build up or tear down or life and death. People tend to think ah it is just words and they do not mean anything. God has a total different out take on that. Your words either work for you or against you and it does not matter if you believe this or not for it is just the way God set it up.

God Bless You Eric
Have a blessed day
