PART OF GOD'S CREATION "AUTUMN"

It was so wondrous to behold,
The glory of Sunset last night
Shining splendour of red and gold.
Lakes reflecting a wondrous sight.

Morning sun peeps out of the sky
Shining so softly and mellow.

Asters of blue looking quite shy
Matching the chrysanths of yellow.

A marvelous creation of love
A wonderful gift to receive .
Let's call to our Father above,
Give thanks all you who believe.

Hello Cosia;

This poem spoke to me. This time of the year in Canada is a beautiful transition from summer to fall. The trees have begun their foliage.

Last night we were having dinner with good friends and the four of us witnessed the transition in our faith from seedlings to blossoming.

The fellowship could not have been any better. 😇

God bless you, sister, and thank you for sharing Part Of God’s Creation “Autumn”

God's Grandeur

By Gerard Manley Hopkins

The world is charged with the grandeur of God.
It will flame out, like shining from shook foil;
It gathers to a greatness, like the ooze of oil Crushed.
Why do men then now not reck his rod?
Generations have trod, have trod, have trod;
And all is seared with trade; bleared, smeared with toil; And wears man's smudge and shares man's smell:
The soil Is bare now, nor can foot feel, being shod.
And for all this, nature is never spent;
There lives the dearest freshness deep down things;
And though the last lights off the black West went
Oh, morning, at the brown brink eastward, springs —
Because the Holy Ghost over the bent World broods with warm breast and with ah! bright wings.
