Peace

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And
we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
-- Romans 5:1-2

THOUGHT:
Peace is more than the mercurial, vaporous, whimsical wish of
folks who just want everyone to get along and things to be calm.
The peace the apostle Paul is describing here, peace with God, goes
much deeper than simply a desire for calm and for a lack of
conflict. Jesus, through his sacrificial obedience to God, has made
peace with God real for us. Yes, God provided it by grace. Yes, God
is the one who insures it because of that grace. But, because this
peace is tied to him and his character, we can rejoice and
anticipate being caught up in the glory of our glorious God.

Php 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
Php 4:7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Thanks my son .... that is beautiful. and Brother Larry yes the peace of God does pass all understanding. I am sure as myself and you have proved it in your own life. When we are going through our deepest trials and know that that is where the Lord wants you , you have a peace that cannot be explained to the world but that peace just remains and you know that you know that it is God.

Job 22:21
"Submit to God and be at peace with him; in this way prosperity will come to you.

Psalm 4:8
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

Amen, I have been in work situations where people were physically collapsing around me and I would be singing- the joy of the Lord would be pouring out of me - it sure made some lost people take notice and ask questions- His peace can calm any storm or any child in the storm!

Proverbs 17:1
Better a dry crust with peace and quiet than a house full of feasting, with strife.

Isaiah 32:17
The fruit of righteousness will be peace; the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever.

Romans 5:1
[ Peace and Joy ] Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 14:33
For God is not a God of disorder but of peace. As in all the congregations of the saints,

Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have
peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have
gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And
we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

AMEN!!

You couldn't have put it any better, Dusty! Those silly Hollywood types who think that "peace" means the absence of war or any kind of conflict, think that way exactly because they do not have an understanding of the kind of peace God is talking about!

Laura:)

Yes Laura so true, but we know the peace of God passes all understanding so our hope is in the Lord ..Amen And amen

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.

John 16:33
"I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."
