Poem#10 Yeah But Did You Pray
Genesis to Revelation
Yes we’re watching Sinners being Sinners what should we expect?
We’re watching Preachers preaching without an Open book of God
Yes they said this & that, while should have had served a breakfast
Yeah but did we pray for them or did we just turn away with disgust
Or worse yet did we fall asleep in Anger well past the sun going down
Passing the Blame like Father Adam like Son until the last Generation
We can talk all we want about People not doing what their supposed to
Just don’t be called a Hypocrite standing before Jesus in complaining
When we should have been standing before Jesus Praying for Them
Lost sheep are going to stay lost, lost coins are going to stay lost
Until we Pray to the Father to use me like a Flash Light & get looking
Us Prodigals aren’t going to come Home until we’re Praying like One
If we’re going to expect change in the world got to start being the change
Jesus gives us help like He did Abraham, Isaac & Jacob back in Genesis
When we’re talking to Jesus we’re Praying, we’re pulling up our Sleeves
If theirs something we see that we don’t like, then pray about it
If theirs something we hear that we don’t like then pray about it
Sometimes it’s not about what they’re doing, it’s what we’re Not
Prayers of the Saints get filled into a bowl & when filled thrown down
Don’t we understand yet the Power we have when we Pray to Jesus?
The Same Power that Hovers the Earth Since Genesis Lives in Us
Yes we’re Sinners watching Sinners be Sinners, it’s nothing New
Until we’ve Woken Up & started Praying to the One that Saves
It’s not about what they’re doing, it’s what we’re not doing
Yeah but did we pray for change, are we getting up to be the change
Abraham, Isaac & Jacob & on down the Generations of the King of Kings
Until Jesus got up & came to be what we could Not, the Perfect Lamb
