Poem#110 Who’s Heart

Poem#110 Who’s Heart

Luke 6, Mark 8, Luke 9:23

Idols in our hearts are starting to accumulate & its too Crowded

Theirs a Reason why God says we can’t both Love Him & the World

Because theirs no Room when hoarding up a Heart made for God

Somewhere up the line of Past regrets we said One Lie, One quick Peak

One Sip won’t hurt anyone else but me, & we’ve been hurting ourselves

Ever Since, Becoming our Own Enemy that Jesus told us to pray for

Idols aren’t just made of Sticks, Stones & Gold it’s whatever Desires

The Heart that leads us astray to becoming a Lost Sheep, a Coin a Son

We Need All of Jesus & Nothing else in our Heart

Keeping on Sinning the Sin that makes us Hate Ourselves is Hard

Living Lie After Lie fed from Satan’s Hand leading us Straight to Hell

Thankfully Jesus holds out His Hand for us to take from the Cross

We’ve Been Forgiven by the Hands that took Our Worst Sins as His

Now it’s Our turn to take Up Our Own Cross to Die to self Daily for Him

Which means Forgiving Ourselves, To be Loving Ourselves

Loving Jesus is Obeying His Commandments of Loving God

Loving Ourselves as God’s Neighbor from inside Who’s Heart

Our Heart is God’s Home so Our Heart belongs to God to Love

The Burdens become Easy, become Light when we let the Holy Spirit

Clean out the closets of our Heart until we got no more Regrets of Sin

They too belong on the Cross that Jesus carried to be no more
