Poem#19 Eyes Feed
Luke 6:43-45
The devil’s going to seek & destroy best way he knows how
Flooding our minds with words that fills our heart with pride
Using feelings of guilt & shame to keep us from seeing Good
What God has made for Good the Serpent of old uses against
Twisting scripture God’s Word until we’re tongue tied like Mankind
Original Adam before separation of Eve from forbidden fruit
The darkness of this World satan will bring forth through the news
Use technology for the same old tricks the more evil we see the better
The more we’re distracted from what we really should be seeing
Through what we put in front of our eyes the window to our heart
Feeding the soil that brings forth seeds planted by pride or humility
What do we think is going to come up when only seeing what’s bad?
Never forget about the One seed God planted that bruised the devil
What was meant for evil God was already working on a plan for good
The Lord does everything to show the Goodness of the Great I Am
The Cross & Jesus is where God’s goodness overcame darkness
Through the death of sin & defeating death itself through resurrection
Where the laws of Holy & Mercy of God was fulfilled through Grace
The power of the Cross reminds us to focus on Jesus every day
Through taking up our Cross daily & following after Jesus Christ
A Relationship with Jesus leaves no room for the devil
Filling up our Heart with the Spirit of God helper of All Truth
Jesus comes alive bringing reminders to our mind to turn off
Closing our eyes to this world to bring our focus back on Good
Be Still Listen to Jesus sing His Song that He’s God & God alone
Filling up our heart with God’s goodness with Praises of His Name
Let abundance of our heart be God’s Good as God’s Good Always
