Poem#43 Right Through
Phillipians 3, John 10, Psalms 139
Theirs a giant in us all that we must come to face like David
Might not be like Goliath still we become our own worst enemy
When it comes to the desires of our flesh, nothing is worth it
When it comes down to what Christ has for me through His Spirit
And what’s coming out of my heart, got to let it go before it Grieves
If we’re even questioning if its a sin, Holy Spirit leaves no doubt
What we’ve been through battling what’s coming out of our flesh
Doesn’t compare to what Jesus did for us on the Cross on our behalf
When Truth be told we’re the Sheep the Shepherd laid down His Life
Righteousness comes from hearing the Words of Jesus living in Trust
Fully knowing nothing we’re doing in the flesh can achieve full Holiness
Only through Loving Jesus through loving His People in Humility
Confessing to one another that we’re far from perfect shows strength
None of our own, but seeking help in the Holy Spirit of Christ in Each
One coming to maturity not to boast, but to keep from Misunderstanding
Faith comes from hearing the Words of Jesus who gave us His Right
Through the Cross to the Rolled Stone the Faith of living by Trusting
Within the Context of the Pages He’s written in our Lives to Press On
