Poem#52 Feast Or Famine

Poem#52 Feast Or Famine

Genesis 42

Whatever is abundant in the heart the mouth speaks

How often do we bother to look what’s inside the heart

Usually it’s spilled out of the heart before we check

What is it we’re feeding on with thoughts not all our own

Why are we’re seeing with eyes that shouldn’t be looking

Lust of the eyes looking through the Window of desires

When feast or famine go through minds it’s often on the land

As the seasons come & go while working to produce harvest

While God’s working on the feast or famine in our heart

What we said & did back when will be planted & will grow

How we continue to feed & water what was thought said

Word wars going on in our head will bring feast or famine

When God said 7 years of feast & 7 years of famine was coming

Wasn’t talking about just the land, but also the heart’s condition

God knows exactly what we need to till to weed out our heart

We’re just not understanding whatever’s inside our heart speaks

What we’re filling up our heart matters on what we see, & think

Why it’s important to focus on God & confirm God with our Mouth

Feast or Famine based on God’s Word correcting every thought

Which we’re now able to do through the help of the Holy Spirit

Through the harvesting of God’s seed in Jesus Christ inside Us

Good morning, Walker;

Poem#52 Feast Or Famine

We met for men's fellowship at 8am (too early for me lol!) a couple of Saturday's ago. We discussed how things can happen out of nowhere when we're serving the Lord, tending to our tasks or running errands.

Things can happen that will tempt us to take the shortcut, covet, get filled with glutton or eyes wandering, etc..taking away God's glory because of our heart's condition.

The theme is when we plan our day it's important to focus and include God in our hearts. Joseph's brothers in Genesis 42 were now much older and had calmed down since Shechem, but weren't totally prepared what was to come. But their wisdom allowed God to guide them as they confronted Joseph.

God bless
you, Kyle.

Bob
