Poem#65 God Starts, God Finishes
Genesis 46
Even when we’re down on our grief from what we thought to Believe
Even when full of despair afraid of what’s going to happen to His Next
God reminds us that He’s unchanged being the God of Abraham, Isaac
When God calls out to us & we respond “ Here I am” ready for His call
Even when we’re lost, caught in a lie that trades doubt for hope in Faith
God shows He’s still Faithful to the Word we’ve forgotten along the Way
The Goodness of God picks us up & gives back direction of hope lost
Like the Good Shepherd does in making us to lie down until we’re calm
Then He leads us to still waters, He restores our Soul for His Name sake
Long before Psalm 23 was written the Lord was showing Jacob Israel
The Goodness of God lead Jacob to the Land where His Son is still Alive
What was thought lost will be found in the Faithfulness of God’s Word
Which started with a dream God gave Joseph Truth remains the same
Even if told through a prideful heart & received by another prideful heart
God’s Goodness prepares a table before the timing of His Word Delivers
Even as the years go by God’s faithful to remind us to Trust His Word
Through His calling & us remembering His voice in saying Here I Am
God Will deliver what He said like He did while preparing for the Cross
