Poem#67 Hands Like Trees

Poem#67 Hands Like Trees

Genesis 47, Psalm 1

When love breaks through & it’s only a matter of time

The pride we’ve been allowing to hardened our heart

Will soften until becoming like sand we can’t hold

The Lord Jesus will use His seed to find away to break us

What we’ve been holding will fall through our fingers until

The only thing we can do is raise our empty hands up

Next thing we know our hands will be like Trees in the wind

Feeling free from the burdens we’ve been carrying so long

This is what happens when we’re surrendering to Obedience

When we’re meditating day & night the Law of the Lord our God

Even well before the birth of Moses well before the Commandments

The Holiness of God was setting apart our path to be Holy in Joy

God’s been showing us over 4,000 years what happens with a little

When we trust Him in letting the little we have into His hands to bless

Like feeding multitudes of people with a few loaves, a few fish

Jesus does what the Father did back in Genesis through Joseph

Preparing the way for Moses through letting go from their hands

Surrendering in obedience to the law of God to be free in Mercy

Joy comes when we’re feeling Grace lifting our Hands with His

Like Trees in the Wind after being planted by the Water of life

We can only imagine until we’re Surrendering all that we Are

Good morning, Walker;

How are you doing so far in 2025?

While I was reading Hands Like Trees the verses I
blue-lighted made me think. The things we hold on to (dwell on and lament) will fall through our fingers when we surrender to obedience instead of limiting our lives.

God bless you, Kyle, and thank you for sharing.

Hey Bob
Life’s going up and down in 2025 so far, taking it day by day with my 14 year old dog Bosley who took us through the process of is this going to be it, after going through the runs for 2 and half days and nights, being on the weekend having to wait it out until getting word from Bosley’s veterinary just up the road, but unfortunately Bosley’s back and back leg issues can’t get him in our car, though was prepared to take him one last time. My Dad had a Dr appointment Monday morning, I had very little sleep, but didn’t keep Bosley from losing his mind, after going outside every 15 minutes throughout the night, luckily we live out in the country and not much traffic, after a mornings adventure and Dad and mom coming home in time to help get him back to the house. Wanted to take him to the Vet to end his suffering, but since Veterinary couldn’t see him she wanted to try diarrhea pills first and $$ diagestive dog food, well so far it’s working. I know it only a matter of time, but his Veterinarian isn’t making it an easy process. For now will be grateful for the time I have with him, even when Bosley’s back end makes him collapse like back legs go out from under him, watch him rest then get back up, only a few times a week, but what can we do without other options that wouldn’t be life changing.

On the up part of life, my last book Grace and Brooks Falls Bears got finished. God is Good all the time, and it His goodness I’m trying to focus on.

Prayers much appreciated, and hopefully won’t need to start a go fund me for Bosley’s new food 😂 hopefully not a $55 addiction for 12 cans

Hey Kyle;

I'm sorry to hear about Bosley. We have a few posts in Prayer Requests for other members and their beloved pets. I pray the Lord will allow Bosley to go as far as he is able so you can enjoy him longer.

My wife and I both raised dogs when we were single but haven't agreed to owning another dog. I like them big and outdoorsy while she loves them small like house pets.

We both considered a medium size pet but we still couldn't agree on owning another dog.

You're in my prayers, brother. Hang in there.

Bob
